Warm Your Heart is about more than just giving away free furnaces; it’s about ensuring that families in central Iowa have access to the heat and warmth they need to stay safe during the harsh winter months. Sadly, hundreds of families are unable to provide safe and reliable heating for their homes during this frigid time. Our mission is to help close that gap.
Since it’s inception in 2012, over 273 families have been blessed with the gift of warmth. And it wouldn’t be possible without the love and support from a community that cares. When we take care of each other, we all feel the warmth.
If you know a family that deserves a free furnace, please fill out the nomination form below. Families are selected based on need, their story, and the resources available. The deadline for this year’s nominations is December 31, 2025.

Please find the nomination form below. We encourage you to fill it out as thoroughly as possible. While we would love to grant every nomination, our resources are limited. The more we know about each nominee and their story, the better we can make decisions on which families to support. Nominees must own their home and live within 40 miles of downtown Des Moines.
